1. Manouchehr Hadi to return to TV after seven years

Iranian director Manouchehr Hadi is set to make his television comeback after a seven-year hiatus, with a new comedy series titled ‘Honeymoon’.

Hadi’s previous television series, ‘The Beloved’, was produced in 2017 and aired in 2019 on IRIB Channel 3, gaining popularity through multiple re-broadcasts.

Currently, ‘Honeymoon’ is in the final stages of filming under the production of Morteza Razzaq-Karimi.

The lighthearted series explores themes of marriage and features a stellar cast, including Akbar Abdi, Qodratollah Izadi, Yousef Teimouri, Yousef Sayyadi, Amir Kazemi, Maryam Momen, and Elham Hamidi.

The project marks Hadi’s return to the comedy genre, with a storyline that promises both humor and social commentary.

As the final technical touches are still underway, the broadcast date remains unconfirmed. However, network executives are considering a winter or Nowruz holiday release.

2. New football-themed satirical series ‘The Fan’ to debut

The upcoming series ‘The Fan’, produced by Simafilm under the direction of Hassan Habibzadeh and production lead Mohammad-Javad Movahhed, brings a comedic twist to Iranian television.

Created within Soureh Cinema Organization, this football-centric series stars some well-known actors, including Hassan Pourshirazi, Arash Nozari, and Bijan Emkanian.

‘The Fan’ takes a unique humorous approach to recount a high-profile football scandal from recent years, offering commentary on corruption within the sport.

While anticipation for the release is high, the exact air date of ‘The Fan’ has yet to be disclosed to the media.

3. New fantasy comedy ‘Youthscape’ tackles generational gaps

The upcoming series ‘Youthscape’, directed by Amir Bashiri and produced by Arman Zarrinkoub, is currently being filmed at the Simafilm Center.

Set to to be made in 30 episodes, this new comedy-fantasy dives into the lives and challenges of the youth, shedding light on generational differences through the setting of a lively boys' dormitory.

With a stellar cast, including Vahid Aqapour, Boyouk Mirzaee, Siamak Safari, Mahsa Tahmasebi, Nima Shakibaee, and Saman Darabi, ‘Youthscape’ promises entertaining and unique moments for viewers.

The story, written by Mohammad Naqaee, is anticipated to capture significant audience interest and potentially secure its place among popular TV productions. However, an official release date for the series is yet to be announced.
